Blufenac eye drops are a prescription-only, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat eye inflammation, pain, and swelling (edema) following cataract surgery. It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which stops the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation in the eye.
